Every time I go to The Skinny Pancake I get the same order, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to food, so sticking to something I know is delicious sounds like a good plan. At The Skinny Pancake you go inside to order and then you get a number and pick a place to sit, since it was so beautiful out we decided to bask in the sunlight outside! My usual order consists of The Pooh Bear and a small orange juice...yesterday, I indulged in TWO Pooh Bears, totally worth it. Dad and Pam enjoyed themselves too.
After a nice breakfast we walked Church St for an hour or so. I hadn't seen it so lively in months and it was so much fun to watch all the street performers and musicians. There were SO many kids around too! They were running around like crazy all along the streets, getting between people and yelling. It was too cute, it felt like Spring was here and Summer is on its way. I'm ecstatic, it was an uplifting feeling.
After my dad and Pam had left and said their goodbyes, I spent the afternoon on the back porch with Andrew. Over the past few days a bunch of kids set up a stereo on the back porch and had been blasting music out the huge back windows. Today, Andrew and I took advantage of this and blasted some O.A.R and sat in the window an hour or so. Beyond relaxing and nice to unwind and belt out some good meaningful lyrics. It felt as if we were at a concert and we had the best seats in the house. Taking in the view from the back porch window really opened up my mind. I'm not sure how, why, or what I was really thinking about, but looking around at what I could see of the campus and how far I could see across the lake and down to Church St. was just...nice. This is my school, my campus, my home right now and I couldn't love it more. I know I made the right decision now.
Aside from the back porch, me, Andrew, Morgan, and Nick spent an hour testing a giant bag of jelly beans my dad had given me. We spent that time getting a handful and tasting each one to figure out what they were. I spit out a few. Capucchino is NOT good. At around 630PM Andrew and I headed downtown to see a movie. We had been meaning to see Paul but it had already left the theater so we decided to see Your Highness. It wasn't what I expected, but it was REALLY funny. Completely inappropriate and cruel, and yet it had certain moments that almost made me pee my pants. Not to mention that James Franco is gorgeous and I didn't mind staring at him with his long locks for almost two hours. The night ended with a few more Sam Adam's, a few tears which don't need detail, and lots of hugs and life talks. Excellent day! :)
