HAPPY BIRTHDAY LAUREN, DARLING!
Well, it isn't her birthday yet, but this Sunday is Lauren's 19th birthday and since she was headed home for the weekend, Morgan and I planned a girls night of birthday celebrations! My Thursday was long and tiring and so jam packed that the girls night was just a nice way to unwind. I had a research paper due today and I still haven't finished it. My PLAN was to stay up all night last night finish it, but the champagne, raspberries, shitty pop music, and underwear party with the girls took over completely.
In all honesty, we don't see Lauren that often! So spending the night with her and celebrating her birthday was very important to me. The entire night was a surprise and going from each destination to the next was so anticipating for her, it was great to see how happy she was. First, we took her to the mall on Church St. and surprised her with a manicure. I'm not too into that kind of stuff, but hey, I don't mind getting my nails done once in a while and they looked great. After that, we had to take the necessary trip to Victoria's Secret to look around. A short trip turned into us heading to Olive Garden for dinner. I hadn't been to Olive Garden in two years and I missed it, SO MUCH. Lauren could not stop smiling or laughing with us the entire night. All we did was share stories and enjoy each other's company, which was all we wanted the night to be.
Once we got back to the dorm we cracked open a bottle of champagne and the night had just begun. A box of wine followed suit and by 11PM it was me, Lauren, Morgan, Kelly, Zakk, my friend Chris, and his friend Sean. Chris had come back from a graduation dinner, since he will be graduating in a month or so, so he stopped by for a drink or two and then headed home. Zakk ended up putting Morgan to bed and Mason read us bedtime stories. I'm not sure how the night panned out the way it did, but it was a lot of fun...and long. Getting to bed at 3:30AM wasn't my plan, but that's how it turned out and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I'm only giving a brief overview of the night because if I went into all the details it would be too much to handle. All in all it was a fantastic night, ups and downs, but fun none the less!
Today on the other hand began with Morgan climbing up on my bed, later joined by Lauren, and laughing until we were in tears about the night before. I didn't go to my 11 o'clock, just didn't want to go at all. Not worth me getting up at all. So I spent the morning trying to write my paper, which turned into Andrew painting my toe nails for the first time and I must say he did a pretty good job! Country music was playing (spare me) because it was Morgan's Friday Morning Country Music and the three of us just spent the morning with the windows wide open because it was beyond beautiful out. Above 60 degrees no doubt and the sun was the warmest it's been in months! WE LOVED IT!
Oh and...Morgan wanted to give Andrew a tattoo because he kept flashing his belly button at her.
I did have to work today, which went by incredibly fast. My Friday shift lasts from 145PM-430PM but today it seemed as if I was there for about an hour or so. I spent my entire shift at the front desk. I really like the front desk because I can just sit there and think or read or do whatever else I want. No one to talk to or laugh with and sometimes that's what I really want. So I sat at the front desk and continued to work on my paper (which isn't done yet...as of right now, it's a challenge) and Andrew ended up visiting me from 330PM-430PM until the end of my shift. We got some dinner and headed back to the dorm to relax.
We just got back from Nick's friend's apartment and got our goodies for tonight! Andrew has been dying to try the Sam Adams Variety Pack and tonight we get to indulge. We've chosen the Summer Ale and the Boston Lager for tonight, since there are six flavors and two of each. Hoping for the best! After the wine and champagne last night this beer may taste god awful or wonderful. We shall see! Also, my dad is in town for the next day or so! He and his girlfriend Pam decided to make a trip up to VT to see me and maybe take back some of my stuff to make moving out in a few weeks a bit lighter. He got here at around 8PM and tomorrow I get to go out to a nice lunch with him and walk Church St. or go shopping for a while. I'm excited! Sometimes it hits me, how much I miss my parents and I miss my dad a lot. Seeing him tomorrow will make my day!
And btw, orange juice drank that is more alcoholic than Four Locko...tastes wonderful. What's up, Nicky!
